Taking time out is a vital part of improving quality of life. A day retreat is an ideal way to step off the conveyor belt and make the most of some precious me-time in a peaceful atmosphere, recharge and nourish body and soul.

The Yoga

The morning yoga practice will allow you to connect body, breath and mind with a beautiful flowing, grounding Hatha yoga practice to lift energy levels and boost vitality. The restorative afternoon yoga practice will be floor-based and combine Yin yoga poses with guided meditation and Yoga Nidra to promote complete relaxation. Suitable for all levels of experience, including those newer to yoga.

The Venue


The Abbey is a spiritual retreat and well-being centre, housed within a beautiful English medieval Manor. It offers a uniquely peaceful place for retreat and rejuvenation.

Our yoga practice will take place in the magnificent Great Hall, which has a beautiful timber vaulted ceiling, wooden floor, an open-fireplace, and french windows opening to a large lawn where we will take our morning practice outdoors if the weather allows. There are also two sitting rooms and a library where you can choose to relax during the day.

The Abbey grounds cover a little over four acres. The grounds are filled with trees, shrubs and flowers making it the perfect place to enjoy a walk and there are many sheltered spots to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Lunch will be vegetarian and prepared from fresh ingredients, including home-grown produce from the kitchen garden when possible. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Self-service refreshments are available in the dining room throughout the day.
